Read a different book each month. Meet to discuss the book and enjoy related activities, such as code-breaking, scavenger hunts, and more.

Adult Creative Writing

Free and open to anyone over the age of 18, the Library's Creative Writing Program follows a workshop mdel.  With professional facilitation, participants meet biweekly to share writing in progress and give and receive feedback.  Registration is required, as space is limited.  Please register at the Adult Services Desk, or by phoning 204 727-6648.  For more information, contact Programming and Outreach Librarian Danielle Hubbard at danielle@wmrl.ca

Teen Creative Writing (ages 13-18)
 
Explore creativity through writing. Facilitated by an experienced writer, each meeting will consist of a discussion, followed by a writing activity. Participants will have the option of take-home writing projects that they can then share with the instructor or the class for feedback.

Teen Art Day

This program is jointly hosted with the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba. With a tie-in to the current gallery exhibit (Black Forest, by Diana Thorneycroft), participants will explore different styles of drawing and art, with an emphasis on creativity and exploration.
