Teens, Adults and Seniors
Adults and Seniors require one piece of identification which shows a current residential address located within the region served by the WMRL.
Examples of acceptable address identification are:
- Valid Manitoba driver's licence
- Manitoba Health services card
- Manitoba Social Services card
- bill or mailed correspondence*
- Personalized cheque*
*must be accompanied by a second piece of ID such as:
- Out of province/country Driver's licence
- Passport
- Student card
Children
Children require the approval of a parent or guardian to get a Library card. A parent must present the following to obtain a library card for their child:
- Their current library card AND
- One piece of address ID (listed above)
Parents or guardians are required to sign a registration card for their child and agree to be responsible for items borrowed by their child.
Non-Resident Cards
If your permanent residence is not located within the region served by the WMRL, you may apply for a non-resident membership. The $70.00 annual non-resident membership fee or $20.00 3 month non-resident membership fee covers all family members residing at the address.
The approved identification for a non-resident membership applying for a membership is:
