Library Membership

Get your Western Manitoba Regional Library card at any branch!

Teens, Adults and Seniors
Adults and Seniors require one piece of identification which shows a current residential address located within the region served by the WMRL.

Examples of acceptable address identification are:

  • Valid Manitoba driver's licence
  • Manitoba Health services card
  • Manitoba Social Services card
  • bill or mailed correspondence*
  • Personalized cheque*

*must be accompanied by a second piece of ID such as:

  • Out of province/country Driver's licence
  • Passport
  • Student card

Children
Children require the approval of a parent or guardian to get a Library card. A parent must present the following to obtain a library card for their child:

  • Their current library card AND
  • One piece of address ID (listed above)

Parents or guardians are required to sign a registration card for their child and agree to be responsible for items borrowed by their child.

Non-Resident Cards
If your permanent residence is not located within the region served by the WMRL, you may apply for a non-resident membership. The $70.00 annual non-resident membership fee or $20.00 3 month non-resident membership fee covers all family members residing at the address.

The approved identification for a non-resident membership applying for a membership is:
One piece of address ID (listed above).
